Before Buying a Lull Mattress

A hybrid mattress, such as the Luxe Hybrid Mattress from Lull, combines the therapeutic benefits of foam with the support and resilience of springs.

A King (76"W x 80"L) is four inches wider (left to right) and four inches shorter (head to toe) than a California King (72"W x 84"L).

You can use your Lull on any platform bed or box spring. We suggest a surface that allows for air ventilation to prevent mold.

Lull's Gaviota Platform Bed Frame and Arrellaga Metal Bed Frame are excellent options.

Platform bed frames feature either horizontal slats or a solid platform for the mattress to rest on. Slatted bed frames are another name for the platform bed frame. They have slats to support the bed -which are the planks that are usually placed horizontally on a slatted bed frame. They're substitutes for a boxspring.

Yes, all Lull mattresses are compatible with most adjustable bed frames.

We recommend removing the mattress from the box as soon as you receive it at your doorstep. If you'd like to wait to open your Lull, we recommend it stay in the box no more than 3 weeks.

Some people notice a "new mattress smell" for a few days, but it will disappear over time. Any smells that you notice with your Lull are normal when purchasing products that contain new foam. Our mattresses do not contain any harmful chemicals and all foams used are Certi-PUR certified. We suggest airing out the mattress for a bit before you sleep on it.

Lull mattresses are not made of cotton, wool or silk (the materials that typically attract dust mites and bedbugs). However, we cannot guarantee the mattress to be dust mite or bedbug resistant. If you are concerned about dust mites, we recommend a mite resistant mattress encasement.

Our mattress covers are designed for ultra-comfort but for the best experience, we highly recommend using a mattress protector and bed sheets.

In order to easily ship your mattress, we compress the mattress and pack it into a box. Once you open the box, your Lull will do most of its expanding in the first 2-5 hours and will fully expand within 24-48 hours. Adjust the cover if it shifted in transit. Any wrinkles will soon disappear.

Since every medical condition is different, it's difficult to say for sure. Consulting a doctor may be a preferable option, but feel free to call in and talk to us about your medical problems -we may know of other customers with similar concerns. The Lull mattress was designed to comfortably support two people weighing up to 250 lbs each. Or two people plus a really large dog, each weighing up to 166.666667 lbs. :-)

When switching mattresses, a break-in period where your body adjusts to the new support is common because the materials have not had time to soften and conform to your body.
It is recommended to try a memory foam bed for at least 30 days, and why the 365-night trial period is valuable.
The old mattress you've been sleeping on for years has adjusted to the shape and size of your body as well as your sleeping positions. After years of repeated use, materials compress and no longer adequately support your body. That indentation left by your body may cause sagging, reducing sleep quality.
A new pair of shoes often requires a breaking in period. The same principle applies to your new mattress; it may not feel comfortable until the materials have stretched and softened.
The break in period allows time for your body to adapt to your new mattress, but also for it to adjust to you. If your old sleeping surface was beginning to break down, your body might have overcompensated to make you feel comfortable. A new sleeping surface means your body may have to readjust to the support of your new mattress.

Please note, Lull only uses CertiPUR-USr certified foams and our mattresses are made without ozone depleters, certain flame retardant chemicals (PBDEs, TDCPP & TCEP flame retardants) and heavy metals. Our mattresses are ultra-low VOC (less than 0.5 parts per million) and adhere to the highest standards of environmental protection.

If you purchased your Lull on Amazon, you have up to 100 days to request your return. Returns for Amazon purchases must be initiated through Amazon directly.

You can begin that process by logging into your Amazon account and submitting the return and refund request on your order. Initially, you will have the option to schedule a UPS pickup. This is only available for mattresses that are still in the box. Also, the amount of return shipping will be deducted from your Amazon refund and you are responsible for printing the shipping label.
