You don't. We pick it up fully expanded. If you are not completely satisfied with your sleeping experience within the first 365 nights, we will attempt to arrange for a pickup and removal of your Lull mattress in its expanded form. Lull makes every effort possible to donate returned trial mattress to charities and organizations in need of beds. If you are outside our pickup service area, Lull will work with you to find a local donation center, so we can avoid throwing away a perfectly good mattress. Your refund will be processed when a pickup from one of our donation partners has been confirmed, or suitable evidence has been provided regarding disposal of the mattress, in the event a donation facility is not within a reasonable distance.

How do I return if I purchased on Amazon?

If you purchased your Lull on Amazon, you have up to 100 days to request your return. Returns for Amazon purchases must be initiated through Amazon directly.

You can begin that process by logging into your Amazon account and submitting the return and refund request on your order. Initially, you will have the option to schedule a UPS pickup. This is only available for mattresses that are still in the box. Also, the amount of return shipping will be deducted from your Amazon refund and you are responsible for printing the shipping label.

We recommend chatting with Amazon Customer Support directly for additional return options. Alternatively, you can contact Amazon Large Item Pickups toll-free at 866-423-5353 to arrange a return.

If you received an email saying that your order has shipped, then your order is indeed on its way to your home. It may take up to 24 hours for the Shipping Provider's system to reflect the location of your shipment. Please note your tracking number may appear as "not found" in the Shipping Provider's system during the first 24 hours.

Platform bed frames feature either horizontal slats or a solid platform for the mattress to rest on. Slatted bed frames are another name for the platform bed frame. They have slats to support the bed -which are the planks that are usually placed horizontally on a slatted bed frame. They're substitutes for a box spring.

What does a Lull mattress smell like?

Some people notice a "new mattress smell" for a few days, but it will disappear over time. Any smells that you notice with your Lull are normal when purchasing products that contain new foam. Our mattresses do not contain any harmful chemicals and all foams used are Certi-PUR certified. We suggest airing out the mattress for a bit before you sleep on it.

All foams used in the Lull mattress are CertiPUR-US Certified, which means that they meet rigorous standards for minimizing off-gassing. Our mattresses are made without harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, ozone depleters, heavy metals and certain flame retardants that may cause cancer and genetic defects. All foams meet the standard of less than 0.5 parts per million VOC (volatile organic compounds).

Adjusting from innerspring to memory foam

Accepted Answer

If you are switching from a lifetime of sleeping on an innerspring mattress to sleeping on a memory foam mattress, a break-in period where your body adjusts to the new support is common because the materials have not had time to soften and conform to your body.

It is recommended to try a memory foam bed for at least 30 days, and why the 100-night trial period is valuable.

The old mattress you’ve been sleeping on for years has adjusted to the shape and size of your body as well as your sleeping positions. After years of repeated use, materials compress and no longer adequately support your body. That indentation left by your body may cause sagging, reducing sleep quality.

A new pair of shoes often requires a breaking in period. The same principle applies to your new mattress; it may not feel comfortable until the materials have stretched and softened.

The break in period allows time for your body to adapt to your new mattress, but also for it to adjust to you. If your old sleeping surface was beginning to break down, your body might have over compensated to make you feel comfortable. A new sleeping surface means your body may have to readjust to the support of your new mattress.
